BLS for Healthcare Providers
Length
4 hours - initial training
Contact us – recertification, current AHA BLS card MUST still be valid and presented to the instructor on the day of recertification.
Description
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult, child, and infant CPR, ventilations with a barrier device, 1 and 2 rescuer techniques, use of the bag-valve mask, automated external defibrillation (AED), and aid for choking victims.
Audience
For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists, dental hygienists, nursing students, or anyone that is interested in learning one and two person with defibrillator skills.
Certification Card
Valid for 2 years, certification cards are awarded the same day the class is completed.

Description
This course teaches single rescuer techniques of adult, child & infant CPR and how to help a choking victim. Class will cover the signs and symptoms of a heart attack and stroke, when to start and stop CPR, disease transmission and legalities.
Audience
For any person who wants to learn these important life saving skills. For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergencies because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies. Optional topics include CPR and AED, and Environmental Emergencies.
